Happy 250th Anniversary you freedom fighters

 

You know, being in a liberal-Mexican family means daily complaints 
about white people this, white people that, 
us vs them, etc.. 

Some haven't realized USA is not just about white people,
it's about eveyone no matter what you look like.

That's what makes our country great compared to other
countries that just care about how "asian" you look
or how "brown" you fit in.

USA has always been about how American you are.
We are the literal melting pot of the world,
a country of outcasts, black sheeps, independents.

Being American means joining the USA culture,
not treating this country like Mexico 2.0,
or India 2.0, or China 2.0.

You come here, you join us. If not, go back.

There is no chicano, or latin x or mexican-american
if you were born here, my confused latinos.

Once you're here, you're going to be American.
If you're a guest, behave like one
and respect the country you're visiting.

I'm tired of all this ignorant confusion,
we're celebrating our 250th anniversary this year,
it's time to be American or shut up.

Go back to whatever country you have a bias in
if you don't respect being here.

All this talk about white US racism but people forget
about how homogeneous the rest of the world is.
Try being white skin in Mexico or Black in Japan
or Asian in Muslim countries.

USA is looking good diverse here! 
We don't care what you look like, 
how bad your English is,
we just care if you're going to be American too.
