Yes, your negative reviews aren't helping
Well, well, well. It seems the larger media is finally catching on to what I've been vocal about on my own.
With the whole Tech Review drama (Marques Brownlee), it seems some people, especially negative ranters, are finally being confronted with their own morals.
Just in case you guys didn't realize, no you are NOT helping out by simply crossing your arms, ranting, and complaining from your keyboards or smart phones.
You are doing the opposite of helping out, you are just getting in the way of success to many others.
-----
NOW, we are a crucial point when negative people want to spin their "contribution" around and say
"if we didn't complain, nothing would have been fixed"
which is not the case in most scenarios.
Take for example, No Man's Sky. A video game that right now is attempting to be taken over by negative people saying "look at how our years of ranting was a success"
No. NO And NO.
Developers behind games like No Man's Sky are who they are today BECAUSE they persevered through all the gamers telling them to quit. Despite all the sheer negative influencers making their day and night job just to trash No Man's Sky, now, now they want to take credit for the glow up.
IF YOU WEREN'T HERE FOR ITS CORE, YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE HERE FOR THE BEST.
You guys aren't allowed to profit out of ranting clickbaits to now be here to take credit from all those positive fans that never gave up and provided actual community support during the process. Especially to fans that loved a game for what it is.
Negative people were absent from ALL the process only arriving at the end to say "No mans Sky is good now, because I fixed it."
No Man's Sky is a great example that Negative people don't deserve the limelight. Why? Because No Man's Sky was a game with all the negative reception to fail. A given up game. A hopeless game. A game the devs should of "just bend to" the negative reviewers and abandoned.
But they didn't. the game is a tale of passion and Devs continuing to love their own game despite most telling them to give up and move on. No, because the Devs chose to love their game, they continued to spread awareness about their features, bring in more features, and continue to admire their project until the media narrative passed over.
Hype crowd:
This tale is far too common now in today's age of media influencers. No Man's Sky dedication through the negative algorithm is only one of many others now including Cyberpunk and Starfield, Hogwarts Legacy and so forth.
See, the problem has never been about what projects other people are working on, the problem has always been how the hype crowd has spun the narrative.
Some right now are defending the Tech Reviews guy that saying he has done nothing wrong and simply voicing your concerns is a right in standing up against bad products or companies.
This mentally can also be used however to label anything as "bad" in the hands of influencers and the hype bandwagon crowds.
Like I've said in my last nerd blogs, people DO NOT want to acknowledge the amount of harm that influencers can do now.
--------------
People say "wow cant wait to bring down disney with my comment"
but thats just it, we forget about social media in 2024 between just "1 person,"
and
-the legions of social media trolls, slanders, cancel culture nuts, ranters,
-and the top influencers with millions of followers.
--------------------
Standing up against the algorithm starts from the top and sprinkles to the everyday ranter.
Often, influencers start the drama for clickbait sponsership profits
and in the process foster a cesspool of toxic community ranters and trends.
So, what's the solution? Well, it's obvious Tech Review guy is going to fall into the same stereotype going forward as everyone else normally does.
Just another thoughtless influencer, with millions of followers, a wave of media influence, all in the hands of an immature Youtuber who doesn't realize his own standing.
If he says something positive, it helps people.
If he says something negative, it destroys people.
WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING ABOUT INFLUENCERS AND REVIEWERS.
You need to be neutral. You can't make content telling people what to think.
You can't say "this phone does this and this and that" then add in some "it sucks I don't like the color, or it sucks because I don't like the company"
NEWSFLASH
The core of honest reporting, especially when it comes to reviews, is by providing an unbias piece. This is something so basic when it comes to News and coverage. Leave your personal opinions and politics out, and just report on the stats.
Sadly, most can't help themselves. Most will make a clickbait thumbnail with "sucks" or "awful," or spew a whole video about personal ranting rather than cover what a game or product actually does.
